KPV is a naturally occurring tripeptide fragment derived from the C-terminal end of the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It is widely studied for its potent anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and skin barrier-supporting properties, making it a key compound of interest in gastrointestinal, dermatological, and systemic inflammatory research.

KPV has been shown in preclinical and clinical research to:

  • Reduce inflammation by inhibiting key pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6) and modulating NF-κB signaling pathways.
  • Support gut health and mucosal integrity, with studies showing protective effects in models of colitis and other inflammatory bowel conditions.
  • Promote skin healing and barrier repair, aiding in wound closure, dermatitis, and inflammation-related skin conditions.
  • Modulate immune responses, helping regulate excessive immune activation while maintaining balanced immune defense.
  • Potentially assist systemic recovery from chronic inflammation and oxidative stress.

Certificate of Analysis

Every lot of this product is independently tested and accompanied by a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA) documenting purity by HPLC, identity by mass spectrometry, and additional analytical parameters as applicable. Because analytical results are lot-specific, the COA that applies to your order is for the lot shipped to you. Many other research only sites post a generic or representative COA. Aevum does not follow this practice as doing so could misrepresent the specific lot you receive. The COA for your lot is available upon request. Include your order number when requesting, and we will provide the matching COA within two (2) business days.
