FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are answers to common questions about AEVUM Research products, ordering, and operations. If your question is not addressed here, please contact us through the Contact page.
Products
What are research peptides?
Research peptides are short chains of amino acids supplied for laboratory, in vitro, and analytical research applications. They are not approved drugs, dietary supplements, or therapeutics, and are not intended for use in humans or animals.
What form do your products come in?
All AEVUM products are supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried powder) form, packaged in sealed vials. We do not supply pre-reconstituted products, syringes, needles, bacteriostatic water bundled with peptides, or any consumables that suggest administration to humans or animals.
Are your products tested for purity?
Yes. Every lot is subjected to independent third-party analytical testing before it enters our inventory. Testing includes high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for purity verification and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation. Certificates of Analysis are available on each product page, batch-tagged to the specific lot shipped.
What is your minimum purity specification?
AEVUM products are produced and verified to a minimum purity of 99% by HPLC, with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry. Compounds that do not meet this specification do not enter our catalog.
How should I store your products?
Lyophilized products should be stored in a cool, dry location, protected from moisture and direct light. Long-term storage is recommended at or below −20°C; short-term storage at 2–8°C is acceptable. Refer to the specific product page for any compound-specific storage guidance.
Ordering and Payment
Who can purchase from AEVUM?
AEVUM sells exclusively to individuals who are at least 21 years of age and who are qualified research professionals, or who are purchasing on behalf of qualified research professionals or research institutions. All customers must complete age and research-use verification before purchasing.
What payment methods do you accept?
AEVUM accepts payment by bank wire transfer and ACH transfer. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or consumer payment processors. This policy reflects our positioning as a research-grade supplier and protects both buyer and seller from consumer-payment infrastructure designed for retail commerce.
How does the payment process work?
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation with a unique reference number and our bank wire and ACH instructions. Initiate the payment from your bank or institutional account using the reference number in the memo field. Once payment is received and reconciled, we will ship your order. Reconciliation typically occurs within one business day of payment arrival; total order-to-shipment time is generally three to seven business days depending on payment method and timing.
Why don’t you accept credit cards?
Our payment policy is a deliberate choice. Wire and ACH payments are consistent with how research-grade suppliers operate in the broader life sciences industry, where institutional buyers routinely transact by these methods. The structure also reduces administrative overhead and the cost of consumer payment processing, savings which we pass through in our pricing.
Do you offer institutional accounts or purchase orders?
Yes. Research institutions and qualified commercial buyers may request institutional account status, which supports purchase orders, net payment terms, and consolidated invoicing. Please contact us for institutional account inquiries.
